What you DO NOT Know about Dentistry
Dr Loh is an Oral Surgeon, who received his basic dental degree and specialty training from National University of Singapore in 1972 and 1977 respectively. He obtained his Fellowship in Dental Surgery from Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 1976, Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 1981, and Fellowship in Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1992.
Prof Loh was the Professor and Head of Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, NUS, from 1980 -1998. He progressed to Vice-Dean, and eventually Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, NUS(1986-95). His area of teaching includes: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery; Oral Medicine; Dental Anatomy and Histology. His main research areas are in Laser applications in oral and dental surgery, Treatment modalities for oro-facial pain, and Morphology and variations in local dentitions.
Dr Loh is also the President of the International Society for Lasers in Dentistry, the Chairman of the Medical Alumni Association, and was Former Secretary and Council Member of the Singapore Dental Association.
