Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are one of the occupational health problems in dentistry. Its prevalence has compromised work ability, productivity, and quality of life of affected dental professionals. The alarming incidence of MSDs in the dental profession indicates a need to increase its awareness and to practice preventive measures to keep MSDs at bay. The aim of this study was to investigate and research the prevalence and awareness of MSDs among dentists in Singapore. It intended to assess personal measures taken to relieve pain and analyse the factors contributing towards the occurrence of musculoskeletal pain.
