Professor Grandini graduated from the Dental School of Florence University and then went on to obtain a postgraduate certificates in periodontology from the University of Genoa and in restorative dentistry at the University of Florence, and a PhD from Siena University.

He is currently Head of Department and Chair of Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry at Siena University. He has published more than 300 papers in national and international journals, and over the last 20 years he has given more than 700 lectures on endodontics and restorative dentistry in Europe, America, Asia, Africa and Oceania.

He is a board Member of the Italian Society of Conservative Dentistry, active member of the Italian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, an academic member of the Italian Society of Endodontics, and IADR. He is also a member of Style Italiano, Style Italiano Endodontics, and founder of Style Italiano Research.
