Chan Siew Luen

Dr Chan Siew Luen is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in private practice, Aesthetic Reconstructive Jaw Surgery at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre, Singapore since 1995.
Dr Chan obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore and his Master of Dental Surgery in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from The University of Hong Kong. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
A significant aspect of Dr Chan’s career has been his extensive contribution to professional governance and disciplinary oversight. He served as an appointed member of the Singapore Dental Council from 2006 to 2018 and currently sits on its Panel of Disciplinary Committee Chairmen. In this capacity, he has chaired numerous Complaints Committees and Disciplinary Committees, playing a key role in upholding professional standards, ethical conduct, and public trust in the dental profession. He also chaired the Council’s Credentials Committee and the Ministry of Health’s Oversight Committee for Aesthetic Facial Procedures for Dental Practitioners.
Dr Chan remains actively involved in healthcare policy and education as Co-Chair of the Ministry of Health Dental Fee Benchmark Committee and teaches at the Graduate Diploma in Dental Implantology in National University of Singapore. He has also served as President of the College of Dental Surgeons, Singapore, and is an active community leader, having served as President of the Rotary Club of Singapore and is currently the Deputy General Secretary of Rotary ASEAN.
