Jaafar Mouhyi

Morocco

Professor Jaafar Mouhyi graduated with a DDS from the Free University of Brussels (ULB) in 1990 and completed a PhD through a joint programme with ULB and the Sahlgrenska Academy, Göteborg University, in 1999. He has undertaken extensive postgraduate training in implantology, periodontology, and laser therapy, including clinical diplomas in oral implantology at the Brånemark Clinic, Sweden.

He is Professor and Head of the Biomaterials Research Department at the International University of Agadir (Universiapolis), Morocco, and Academic Director of the Digital Innovation Department at the University of Fes, UPF. He is a faculty member of the Dental XP Implant Externship Program at NYU College of Dentistry and has served as President of the Union of Moroccan Dental Societies (UASOM) since 2012.

Professor Mouhyi has held leadership roles internationally, including Head of Oral Rehabilitation and Implantology at St Pierre University Hospital, Brussels, and Visiting Professor of Oral Surgery at Naples University, Italy. He has delivered over 400 lectures in 45 countries and published widely on biomaterials, peri-implant pathology, guided implant surgery, and digital dentistry. He is recognised for translating complex clinical challenges into practical, evidence-based solutions.
