Dr. Johnathan Wee

Dr. Johnathan Wee graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS), School of Dentistry in 1995. He completed his specialist training in Endodontics Loma Linda University (CA, USA) in 2000, under a Singapore Armed Forces scholarship, where he worked with and trained under the direct mentorship of renowned endodontic opinion leaders such as Prof Mahmoud TorabinejadProf Leif Bakland and the late Prof James Simon.

Dr. Wee returned to Singapore in 2000 and has been practising endodontics exclusively ever since. In one of his roles as Head Dental Services of the SAF Medical Corps, he was responsible for the formative clinical training of every batch of young dentists that worked in the SAF. As an Assistant Professor in Loma Linda School of Dentistry, Dr. Wee taught and assisted in the supervision of the pre-doctoral endodontic practical component, and in the emergency dental clinic linked to the A & E Department of Loma Linda University Hospital. He continues to give time from his busy practice as an adjunct lecturer in NUS for both the post-doctoral and the pre-doctoral dental programs. Dr. Wee now divides his time between his clinical practice, teaching, sharing and attending endodontic conferences around the world in his continual journey to be a better endodontist for his patients.

Dr. Johnathan Wee is registered as a dental specialist in endodontics with the Singapore Dental Council (SDC). He a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontist (AAE) , the Society of Endodontists Singapore (SES), and also the International Association of Dental Traumatology (IADT). Dr. Wee is an active Fellow, Academy of Medicine, College of Dental Surgeons, Singapore (CDSS). He is a past Chairman of the Chapter of Endodontics, College of Dental Surgeons (CDSS) and has been reappointed again as an examiner for the Dental Specialist Accreditation Committee (DSAC) in Endodontics. Dr. Wee has been formally trained in the use of the surgical operating microscope (SOM) since 1998 as an enabler in his clinical delivery of high-quality treatment. His key interest areas in endodontics include the management of dental trauma, evolving techniques in endodontic retreatment and post endodontic restorative outcomes.
