Dr. Nicole Stormon

Dr. Nicole Stormon is an Oral health therapist and Lecturer the University of Queensland. Nicole is the current President of the Australian Dental and Oral Health Therapists Association. As an early career researcher, Nicole has published in high quality journals, numerous conference presentation and research collaborations. Nicole observed in clinical practice and research that many people are denied adequate oral health care which can have a significant impact on daily life. Nicole has worked on a variety of topics in the field of Dental Public Health. Nicole is passionate about improving the oral health of populations such as the socially disadvantaged, people with special needs and Indigenous Australians through research. Health service research is a key theme of her research, with ongoing collaborations to develop evidence-based and cost-effective models of dental care for children and disadvantaged groups.
