Dr Phang Zi Ying is a consultant in Prosthodontics and was recently appointed as Director, Quality Management with the National Dental Center Singapore.
As the NDCS lead in MOH’s Ensure Safer Systems (ESS) program, her involvement in quality improvement initiatives gave her a better understanding of the importance of patient safety and quality management in delivering excellent healthcare outcomes and ensuring high reliability, especially within the complex healthcare delivery systems in Singapore.
