Sha Yang
Singapore
Dr. Sha Yang graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2013. She subsequently spent four years in public healthcare institutions, where she developed a strong interest in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS). In 2017, she joined the OMS Residency Programme at NUS and completed her Master of Dental Surgery in 2020. She subsequently passed the Dental Specialists Accreditation Board (DSAB) exit interview in 2022 and is registered as an OMS specialist.
Since completing her training, Dr. Sha has been practicing at the Department of Dental Surgery at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient population. Beyond her clinical responsibilities, she is committed to advancing the profession through interdisciplinary and inter-institutional collaboration. As a member of the Executive Committee of the Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons Singapore, she has played an active role in organizing nationwide advanced training programmes, regional scientific conventions, and community outreach initiatives.
Dr. Sha’s clinical interests include orthognathic surgery, craniofacial implantology, facial aesthetics, and reconstructive surgery. She also serves on the Aesthetic Facial Procedures Oversight Committee Singapore.
In 2025, Dr. Sha was awarded the prestigious International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS) Foundation Fellowship in oncology and microvascular reconstruction—becoming only the second Singaporean to receive this honour since the fellowship’s inception. She is currently undertaking her fellowship training at the Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology.
